One big WIP

I started to title this before and after, but the after is still a work in progress so there ya go. The before pictures are from polaroids that were taken when we bought the house so you will just have to look past the poor quality.

Anywho - this is what the front looked like in 1985

and this is what it looks like now - or what it looked like about 2 weeks ago when I took these pictures but the only thing that has changed since then is we planted some azaleas in front (on the other side of the porch) and I moved the you-can-barely-see-it flag out farther in the front yard. We have plans to put flower beds in front and on the side of the porch but who knows when that will happen. (oh - we did put a concrete bench in front of the porch last weekend - in one of those future flower beds)

This is what the back looked like in 1985

and this is what it looks like in 2008. It is pretty hard to get a picture of the back since there are always cars in the driveway! I took this one day when I made it home before everyone else. We have plans to do something down the side of the house but I'm not exactly sure what yet. It may just be shrubs, it might be flower beds. . . I would also like to put a sidewalk of some kind from the driveway to the front porch. Like I said, it is a work-in-progress! (and this is just the outside!)

We are off to visit baby boy and DIL for a bit. (We were going yesterday but I got sidelined by a migraine) Not sure how much we will get to see them over the summer since they will both be working in different places.

Hope you are having a great weekend!

Tina - I feel so bad that you get those darn migraines. I have never had one but have known people that do - no fun. The improvements you have done to your home are amazing. You can be proud of all your hard work.

Tina, don't you just love making improvements to your home. Yours look super.
I can just put out a new plant and feel that I've made a big difference.
Lot's of work; but such satisfaction.

Nice work. That is one Big BAP. Really do like the work you have done. Does not even look like the same place. That porch really adds to the beauty of the house.

Your house looks GREAT!!!

Sorry about your migraine. My mom and DD suffer from them-I had a headache every day last week (I guess it was a prelude to my being sick over the weekend) but fortunately it never went into a migraine!

Hi Tina! Happy May Day!
Love the improvements you have made to your home. We also have a work in progress, never ending. I will need to post pics of our home before we did some outside remodeling. Right now it is dealing with the garden. Please come and visit sometime.

That is a big WIP :)
You've made some nice changes, I especially like the big porch you added. What a nice place to be able to sit and stitch in the summer.
