bah humbug

Thanks so much for the birthday wishes for baby boy. We took them (Jason and DIL, Ashley) to dinner last night and had nice visit. He seemed pleased with how the play went, but glad it was over. Actually, I think he was just glad to have that weave out of his hair. His scalp is a little worse for the wear and his hair a little thin, but such is the life of an actor!

Despite the fact that I have been stitching Christmas ornies and looking at Christmas decor in magazines and on other peoples blogs, I have no desire whatsoever to decorate my own home for Christmas. I usually put my tree up over Thanksgiving weekend - and I usually pretty much do up the whole house. Most every room has something Christmasy in it. Maybe it will come later - maybe not.

This is one of the French Country charts from JBW Designs - I am going to make it into an ornament. I have the perfect piece of fabric for the back of it that I got at the quilt festival. Wonder if I will have a tree to hang it on this year? Bah humbug.

Funny, I feel bah humbuggy about a tree this year too.
If you get this lovely design all finished off, you may feel you need a tree to hang it on! Go for it :)

Hey, I haven't even thought about decorating either, so don't feel bad. I think it is bad enough we have the commercial part of the season shoved down our throats before Halloween, so I am in no hurry. Happy belated birthday to Jason - handsome critter, he is.

Tina, Don't let that bug stick around.. just get through one holiday at a time. After Thanksgiving is behind you, I'm sure you will find your Christmas spirit. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. Michelle

Give it time Tina, you'll get into the spirit, even if it's the day before. Maybe if you scale down the decor and chores It won't feel so Bah Humbuggy to you.

Hi Tina, pretty piece I like it.
I generally start my decorating the day after Thanksgiving....I'm looking forward to doing this....but it seems we are in such a rush we don't have time to enjoy ourselves.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving and enjoy yummy leftovers...and then think about Christmas. Linda
