NYC - Day Four

Day four we were on our own and had two destinations to make before meeting back up with Jason so we hit the subway.

Destination number one!

Cool wooden escalators.

After Macy's we walked to destination number two.

This guy jumped and yelled just as I walked by - scared the crap out of me.

Lots of cool buildings. They were taking wedding photos outside this beautiful church.

This building just happened to be next door to destination number two.

Destination number two! Spent quite a bit of time here just looking - I did come out with a small box.

More walking

and more cool buildings.

I've always been fascinated by this building when I see it on tv or in the movies.

And that's where we met back up with baby boy.

Then we met up with a friend of Jason's for dinner - I don't remember the restaurant but they had this cool light fixture.

After dinner, we went to a play at the Hudson Theatre.

That made for a full day.

Back to the subway and back to our hotel.

NYC, Day Three, part two

After Central Park we headed to The Met

There is so much to see there

We spent several hours

and still did not see it all

In addition to the normal 'museum' displays

there was the just strange stuff

yes?

There was a special exhibit dedicated to rock 'n roll

notice the price of tickets to see The Beatles!

Then there was this little guy outside. He (slowly) made his way across the street and back.

Lots of pictures, I know, and I'm only posting a few of the many we took!
Sorry about the last ones being wonky - they looked right in my preview. Hopefully these will be better!

More to come!

NYC, Day Three, Part One

Day three started with brunch outside - this cute little couple on a bench was across the street from the where we ate.

After brunch we headed to Central Park

It's hard to believe this is right in the middle of the city

Lots of bridges in the park

It started to rain on us

so we ducked in under this bridge - it came with entertainment

We only saw a small portion of the park.

Someday we will have to return and explore more!

More photos to come - I'm trying not to overload any single post.

Day Two!

On our second day in NYC baby boy had to work so his friend, Austin, was our tour guide.

We took a ferry ride

Interesting building

Brooklyn Bridge

We had planned to walk across but we ran out of time (and it rained the last two days we were there)

We had lunch at a very old tavern

After lunch, Austin had to go to work so we were on our own for a few hours. We took a boat ride past the Statue of Liberty.

Then we made our way to the Empire State Building

 The views were amazing

But hold on to your hat! It was windy!

On the list of places to visit!

Would love to go back and see the views at night. Maybe next trip!

More to come!
