Birthday Weekend Round Up

Last weekend we took a quick trip to Colorado. We flew out on Friday and came back on Sunday - like I said it was a quick trip.

It was a reunion trip of sorts. These guys have been friends for 50 years. (Hubby is on the right) The purpose of the trip was for these guys to have time to just hang out. Everyone in the group lives in Texas (different cities) except for one, who lives just outside of Denver.

This was the view from our hotel room.

It was beautiful, but hot!

I've been to Denver twice - both times they had record high temps.

Some of these photos I didn't take - I swiped them off other's Facebook pages.

We stopped on the side of the road to take this picture - didn't phase these guys at all.

A group photo.

And just to prove that boys will be boys, no matter their age. . .

Like I said, it was a quick trip and we crammed quite a bit in but we made sure they had a lot of time to just visit.

As I said in my last post - hubby doesn't take much time to just relax so I'm glad we had the opportunity to get away for a few days. I think he had a pretty good birthday!

It's been a jam packed week since we got back and if it wasn't raining I would be out walking at the moment - so this post is brought to you courtesy of mother nature.

Hoping to get my fall stuff out this weekend but we will see how that goes. Still trying to finish stitching one of my October pieces. I took it with me last weekend but it never came out of the bag.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Happy Birthday to my sweetie!

This is an older picture, but one of my favorites. He's a hard worker and he doesn't often get away and just relax. This was taken in St. Louis on a trip to Illinois - that's been awhile.

Hope you have an awesome birthday.
Love you.

Happy Labor Day!

Wonder of wonders - I'm showing my September pieces at the beginning of the month instead of the end of the month!

Loving the red pop-poms on this one. I found these at Joanns - they only had red, yellow an white. I keep looking every time I'm in there hoping to find some more colors.

I've had part of this series stitched for a couple of years. I think I started with February. I just finished this one and have October kitted and ready to start. Maybe I will get them all finished this year.

We finished painting the living room on Saturday. No furniture has been moved back into place and I'm going to let the paint cure a bit on my stitching wall before I hang that stuff back up. I filled all those holes because I am going to add a few pieces there so I need a new arrangement - that might take some brain power.

We have a 70% chance of rain today but that's okay - we have plenty to do inside and we need the rain.

Hope you have a fun day planned!
