Happy Birthday USA!

 Happy 250th Birthday USA!

Well, hello there!

Apparently I started a post sometime earlier and never got back to it. I just deleted that start and hijacked the draft so the date may be wrong - it is actually July 4th!

Things have been busy this summer. It's hot, hot, hot. I just keep telling myself we have a/c and we don't have to shovel snow!

I have actually done some stitching! I stitched eight smalls that I made into pillows along with four I had stitched last year. It's nice to have some more patriotic smalls to add to my decor. I have more charts - who knows when I will get to those.

Here are the pillows I made.

The three on the left are from the chart pack Grand Olde Flag II by Brenda Gervais (With Thy Needle and Thread)

Stitched on 36 count Dusty Road by Seraphim with the called for threads except I swapped out the DMC 3023 for 3022 as it showed up better on the fabric.

The four in the center are the ones I stitched last year. Americana Petites by Little House Needleworks. I can't remember the fabric I used on these (and the notes are in the other room) but I know I used the suggested DMC flosses.

The five on the right are also from a chart pack by With Thy Needle and Thread.

Red, White & Bloom. Stitched on the same fabric as the first three with all the called for colors.

I stitched this little cutie for a Patriotic exchange with our stitch group. It was a freebie (2006) from Crescent Colours. Stitched on 32ct Vintage Country Mocha with the called for colors.

I added two little charms to the back.

I had stitched this one way back and finished as a pin keep. I debated taking it apart and making it into a pillow but opted to just add a fresh bow and beaded pin. This one stays out all year in my guest room.

This was my first time making a berry. I will be making more! The design is by Erica Michaels Designs and was a free PDF from Fat Quarter Shop. I stitched it on 32 ct Vintage Country Mocha with all the called for floss, except the red - I used Classic Colorworks Cupid.

The piece in the back is an older finish. It was a retreat piece with 3 Stitches and I don't think it is available.

Baby girl says Happy 4th!

Well, I have no idea how the underline got on and I can't get it off so...

I hope to be back sooner rather than later!
