Just a short post to let you know I'm still around. I'm still stitching on my French Alphabet Sampler - I need to take a progress picture. I will try to do that soon - maybe for my next post. It really is looking good.
Awhile back I made some project bags using Vonna's (The Twisted Stitcher) tutorial. I made 5 and kept two for myself (I had already given one away before I took the picture). The front one has buttons on it because I wasn't paying close enough attention to what I was doing and I put the magnetic snaps on the wrong side. Since you have to make a hole in the fabric to insert the snaps I had to cover the holes so I added some buttons. Measure twice, cut once! I forgot to take pictures of the fabric I used on the inside. I'll be making some more somewhere down the line but I can't get to my sewing machine at the moment. I need to clean my sewing room and put some stuff away.
Have you visited The Twisted Stitcher? If you haven't, I highly suggest you click on the link and give her a look-see. She has a wealth of good information on her blog. Lots of great tutorials. She also has a you tube channel - I dare you to watch one and not get hooked! She will have you wanting to 'stitch all the stuff'.
Hope you have a great weekend.

Tina, your bags are lovely. What fabulous fabrics you used! I like the additions of the buttons. Have a wonderful weekend!
I think I have seen that fifth one! :)
You do lovely work and have beautiful taste.
Hi, I would be lost without Vonna's tutorials! Your Easter décor is charming! I just followed your blog and hope you stop by for a visit at Stitchingfriendsforever, my friend RJ and I just started a new blog and the best part is discovering new blogs and like minded stitchers. Mary
Hi Tina! I love your project bags. I watched Vonna's you tube video on making these and she explained it so well. You did a wonderful job on yours. I really like the addition of the buttons...sometimes we make a mistake look even better. You sure did that with yours. Great job. RJ
