Where I've been and what's been in my hoop.
There has been a lot going on!
I took a road trip with three of the ladies from my first Saturday stitch group.
We started out early Tuesday morning and headed north. Since we were going right through Little rock, we made a stop at Shepherds Needle. I only picked up one chart there - I knew we had a lot of shopping to do. I've been there before and it's a wonderful shop. Definitely worth a stop.
After that, drove until dark but I can't remember the name of the town we spent the first night in.
Wednesday morning we made our first 'destination' was Colour and Cotton
Definitely worth the detour if you are anywhere close.
We wandered around (overwhelmed!) for quite a while and all came out with a bag of purchases.
Our second night on the road was in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Super cute little town but all the shops were closed by the time we got there so we just looked in windows on our walk to dinner.
The next morning we were off to our final destination - the Farm Girl Dry Goods retreat in Minnesota!
Teresa Kogut was the featured designer and we got three projects. I can't wait to stitch them! I may start the little stuffy soon.
This little ghost was one of the table gifts.
More table gifts
and more!
We were less than an hour from Buttermilk Basin so we took a little time to go check that out. Such a cute store. It was hard to decide what. to buy. Several things that I wanted were out of stock but I think I did okay.
I finished this right before we left on our trip.
It's the top portion of Early Christmas Morning by Blackbird Designs.
It needs to be ironed. (oops)
I finished the side part yesterday.
This was a stitch-along with the stitch group and we are going to do the finishing at our December meeting.
Of course no post would be complete without a couple of pictures of baby girl.
The cutest little werewolf ever!
The cutest little werewolf ever!
It will be a busy couple of weeks as Jason and Rachael arrive tomorrow for a visit!
Happy Halloween!
