I will win!

And what, you ask, am I going to win? Well, I do battle with this little baby every time it comes out of the closet but I am going to learn to use it if it kills me or the machine! And I thought I might have killed the machine last night. Got that needle stuck in the down position but good. It wasn't moving at all. After about an hour of man-handling it I finally got the offending needle out - I still don't know why it was stuck or whatever, but I did win that battle and it still sews so all is fair in love and war, huh?

So, what did I sew? I made a new pillow form for the LOVE pillow.

I just wasn't happy with the first one - it needed to be wider so I made a new one and I like it better now.
I also made another pillow but I'll save that one for tomorrow! :)

Oh!! That is cute cute cute!!! I'm so glad you got your machine to behave! Just look what it can do when it wants to act right! That is just darling!

It turned out cute! Just like the first time around ;) Sorry about the machine! One night, when I was home by myself, my finger got in the way and my sewing machine needle went almost clear through my finger. In reaction, I pulled my finger away and broke the needle off. Still in my finger. I pulled it out and went on to quickly insert another needle so I could finish the project. Suddenly, I thought - maybe I am in shock because this is no big deal to me? So I called a girlfriend to talk with her (at 10:30 at night) to ensure I was talking to someone in case shock set it. It didn't. What a goof ball I am! Love, Esther

Your pillow looks lovely. Glad you won the battle of the sewing machine. I'm on good terms with mine because all I have asked it to do so far is zigzag the edges of my stitching fabric. LOL

Love the pillow! If you keep having needle stuck problems with the Necchi, try these preventative measures. Make sure your uppper and lower thread are pulled to the back, behind the fabric and turn the hand wheel towards you until the needle is in the down position, so that the needle is completely piercing the fabric where you want to start sewing ( a bit inside from the edge, so Mr. Necchi isn't tempeted to "eat" some fabric). Then hit the gas pedal. Also, change your needle, take out your boobin case and hook to clean and oil (use only sewing machine oil!!!) after about every 6-8 hours of machine running time. Oh! and never sew over your pins. Happy Stitching, Cheryl
