This 'n that

Hello blog friends!
I know I am doing a terrible job of posting lately but I do what I can. I've also not been responding to comments like I should. I read all and appreciate all of them but I get my comments at my aol account and the current internet connection I'm using won't give me a full connection to aol so I don't get pictures and it rarely connects when I click on a link. When I try responding to comments I usually end up with the computer locked up and have to restart. I hate that. I really need to change the email address on the account but I'm lazy. (as if you hadn't already figured that one out!)
I spent some time with Bertha last week. Managed to 'break' her, but I took her in and she is all fixed now. This is what I was working on when she 'broke'. I finished it up when I got her back home - er, here - whatever. This is as close as I am going to get with the picture. This was my first attempt at free-motion quilting and it looks like crap up close.

As for the fake flowers - they came with the apartment. :)
Enjoy the rest of your week!

It looks great, Quinting on the machine has never been something I could do, My fabric always traveled too much and my quilts are so thick and heavy I had to push them through. I felt like I'd had a work out, so I just hand quilted them.
Keep in touch,
Margo

Well it looks good from here. Glad you've had a little "fun" time to relax and do what you like to do!

Well, it looks good from this angle! You know what, people who don't quilt don't notice the stitches. It's the ones who've quilted who do! And besides, don't worry about your first quilts. I gave my ex my first quilts when I left. Because I didn't think they were good. Now what I'd give to have those first ones, my starter quilts, back in the fold.

I clicked the pic and it looks nice up close! I never could machine quilt either..but my machine is way too basic and old. I like hand quilting, but of course it is slow! Love the colors and I am sure it makes the apartment seem more homey. I miss your posts but know that soon you will be back..showing us a new adventure with a new home! Terry in Arlington

Hey Tina - thanks for yoour support!

That quilt doesn't look like crap either. I love pink/brown together! I've never tried machine quilting - just hand quilting. I like hand quilting cuz it's soothing to me and I don't have to think - which is good sometimes! Good to see you staying busy!

It doesn't look the least bit crappy to me :-) I think it's lovely seated on the table.
P/S What's free-motion quilting? Do you need a special machine to do this?
