A start and a snippet

I started this piece a couple of weeks ago

Yes, I should be a lot farther along, but pretty much everything you see has been stitched at least twice. Seems every time I would stitch on it, I would have to go right back and take it out. (operator error - I guess I can't count!) I think I'm on a roll now though. (cross your fingers)

Here is a snippet of a piece I finished this week. It is a gift so I probably shouldn't even show this much. After seeing the close up shot - I really shouldn't show it at all. I need a lot more practice with Bertha! It is the thought that counts - right?

Hope everyone has a safe and happy weekend!

Hi Tina - I'm catching up on reading and posting. It's been crazy busy here with MIL and getting Josh off to England. I'm glad you showed off your little snowman - it sure would feel good right now! Your apartment is very cozy and bright. Who needs window treatments? It keeps it bright except if you wanna sleep in. Guess you could tack up something dark over the window, hmmmmmm?

They're both lovely. Isn't it nice to have something to do inside when it's so blasted hot outside?

I love both of them, and I am guessing the second pic, is all about chocolate??

Oooh, I love the project you've got going. What is it? I just finished one of those. I don't know what my problem was, but I spent more time picking and restitching than I did stitching in the first place. I couldn't count either.
