Rain!

We have had nearly six inches of rain since Saturday! There has been a lot of flooding in the Houston area - thankfully none of it has been close to us. Our yard is nice and green and the plants are happy.

I was beginning to think maybe my hydrangea wasn't going to make it. All the blooms died and the leaves were all turning brown. A few weeks ago I snipped off all the blooms and the brown looking leaves and now it looks like it is coming back! The new leaves are looking good and there are two small blooms - I've decided to just let it bloom pink!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

So glad the flooding is not around you! The plant looks so pretty. Still no rain in my neck of the woods.. lol All the leaves have fell off my roses. I water a little every night. The heat is just to much for them.. You also have a great weekend!

We had some rain today in CA, but it didn't last long. We could use some more!! Wishing you a lovely weekend! xo Heather

Send some of that rain up this way!! We got 3/10" today and we are elated...the heat and drought are taking their toll. A couple of my hydrangea plants aren't faring well either but I'll trim them like you have and pray they make a comeback.
Have a great weekend.

Your plant looks great! I am jealous, we only got 1/4 inches.
I just planted a new kind of white hydrangea in a courtyard , it has longer and skinnier branches and leaves..we will see if it works. :)
